Wondering why Sony did not announce Neo at the E3 conference? we have the answers
When Microsoft announced Xbox One S and made Project Scorpio a part of E3, Sony fans were disappointed not to hear a single utter from the game giant in regards to its upcoming console, PlayStation (PS) Neo or PS4K. Some fans were unable to figure out why Sony would still keep Neo undercover, we have a good idea why that happened.
Sony kick-started its E3 2016 pre-conference buzz with trailers of ABSU, a scuba-diving game where gamers can discover the beauty of the deep blue sea. The game provides an adventure through the sea, followed by Bound, a unique concept of a dancing ballerina game that has secrets of its own.
PlayStation 4 Upcoming Titles
Hawken’s trailer has got fans on the edge of their seats. The new features like customization finally came forth on a console for the first time in the game’s history. Moreover, Pyre, Eagle Flight for PSVR, and Watch Dogs 2 also seemed very remarkable.
The official conference took off with a heart-capturing performance of the game soundtrack, followed by the first gameplay for God of War. The main idea seemed to be a very impactful announcement of the new titles for PS4. After the God of War gameplay, Sony’s next teaser was for Days Gone, followed by one of the most awaited titles of all time, The Last Guardian, which finally got a release date for October 25, 2016.
The gameplay for Horizon: Zero Dawn, was also demonstrated; it showed a young woman on a journey who wants to leave her tribe and go to find out the secrets of the Earth. However, corruptive machines gone rogue wait for her on the other side; will she survive?
Help Connor, a robot, to save an innocent human life of a little girl from a droid gone rogue. It’s about making your own story by choosing actions, selecting dialogues. One must always remember that there will be consequences in Detroit: Become Human. Resident Evil VII: Biohazard’s teaser was also shared with the fans at the E3 conference, with a release date set for January 24, 2017.
That’s not all, following the teaser, it was announced that Resident Evil VII is a PSVR title, followed by a small briefing about their VR headset with compatibility for PS4.
PlayStation VR Upcoming Titles
Apart from Resident Evil VII, PSVR will get Farpoint, Star Wars: Battlefront X-Wing VR Mission, Batman: Arkham VR, Final Fantasy XV, and gameplay for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was also shown to the gamers, which takes place in a complete new setting from its predecessors, all set for a November release. The VR trailer for Call of Duty Modern Warfare-Remastered Campaign @ 10 MP Maps was also shared at the E3 conference.
Crash is Back
Sony even brought back one of the most loved characters, Crash! Crash Bandicoot, Crash, Crash II, and Crash Warped will all be a part of the PS4 label, with Bandicoot coming out first in October. But that’s not all; the Skylander game is giving gamers the opportunity to make their own character come true. LEGO Star Wars Awakens demo became available to all the gamers, with the game coming out in two weeks. Kojima Productions made a comeback with Death Stranding for PS4. Spiderman also made its debut to the platform at E3 with Spiderman for PS4.
Where’s PS NEO?
The conference came to an end with live play from the title Days Gone, with a brilliant, powerful, and successful conference lineup for E3. The truth is that Sony did not need to unveil Neo just yet, gamers had their expectations met, and titles like The Last Guardian got a date. Overall, the company’s sole focus for now should be on the PS VR. With the PS VR scheduled for mid- October, a pure game-based conference is all that Sony needed right now.
We will hear about Neo from the company very soon. There will be news being driven in from time to time until the release date is finally here. What did you think about Sony’s Conference at E3? Let us know in the comments below.
