Thanks to thousands of dedicated fans, and a group called The Game Detectives, we are making progress, but are we any closer to the end? Blizzard seems to be enjoying this little cat and mouse game, watching us all toil for the truth; after all, “she who has the information, has the power.
Among the recent clues on Overwatch forum, experts came across a countdown timer, ticking toward a particular time today (Thursday). It seems we are merely hours away from discovering the next piece of the puzzle. Let’s discuss what this could mean, and what (if anything) is the timer counting down to.
Many believe this to be the exact time when Sombra will be revealed to public. However, judging by the massive popularity of the ongoing ARG, we think there are still a few more steps to go before we can reach our goal and get our reward. In all probability, the timer will reveal something major and we really hope it’s the first glimpse of Sombra, but what else could it be?
The countdown timer might lead us to the next clue in the ARG. It could be a major clue, which will finally reveal some major plot point about who Sombra is, (our money’s still on Ana) or perhaps it is a new character entirely. Remember that Sombra has been lurking around since before Ana was introduced, and might keep lurking, revealing someone other than herself.
