Bandai Namco has been teasing this for a while. Finally, we have some official Dragon Ball-related news coming straight from the Dragon Ball Fighter Z World Tour Finals.

The Japanese game-maker announced two big things for any Dragon Ball gan: there’s going to be a second season DLC for the arcade anime.

And news #2the publisher has shared the first trailer for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z action RPG.

You can see the trailer on the video down below:

Bandai Namco shared the news on their Twitter a couple of weeks ago:

In 2019, the project of a New Game focusing on the World of Dragon Ball Z begins! And more news coming to DRAGON BALL FighterZ! The Warrior from Universe 11 is joining the fight!
More information to be revealed at the DRAGON BALL FighterZ World Tour Finals January 26th ~ 27th!

Dragon Ball Z action RPG

The trailer above doesn’t actually show much gameplay. Instead, it shows the plot, and it seems the title will recount the Dragon Ball Z’s story.

The video recreates some of the most iconic moments of the series, like when Goku transformed into the Super Saiyan, and we all believed that was the ultimate transformation….we were all wrong. Like…5 levels wrong.

We can also see a handful of locations we should know about, like Kame House, were Master Roshi trained Goku and Krillin; and Capsule Corp, headquarters of the Prince of Saiyans.

On that regard, if you’re a Vegeta fan (like me), then you may be a little mad that the upcoming game is the “Story of Goku, the one they call Kakarot.” As most of Dragon Ball has been, it’s pretty Goku-centric.

Don’t worry. Here, I’ll share my favorite Dragon Ball Z moment:

The ultimate fight

The upcoming Dragon Ball Z RPG game doesn’t have a title yet. However, Bandai Namco promises it will have the ultimate fight and the ultimate story about the mystical Dragon Balls.

Likewise, the studio hasn’t pointed a release date. The game will launch sometime this year for PS4, Xbox Oneand  Windows PC via Steam.

The studio CyberConnect 2 is behind the title. CyberCOnnect is behind Asura’s Wrath and the Naruto Shippuden Ninja Storm series.

If you don’t know about this game, I can safely say it’s the best Naruto-based game that has ever existed.

For further teasing, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Masayuki Hirano, said during a Dragon Ball Games Super Showcase stream that Bandai Namco will reveal more information on February.

Dragon Ball Fighter Z DLC

In other DBZ news, fans are going to have six more DLC fighters to the famous FIghter Z.

Jiren will launch on January 31 alongside Videl -Gohan’s wife-. Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta, which you could have seen in the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie, will also become a part of the roster pretty soon.

By the way, have you seen that movie? What did you think?
