We got to see the first glimpses of CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019. The much waited trailer for the game was finally released. And boy were we unprepared for what was in the video!
Yes, you read that right. Neo himself. Reeves’ character appears at around the end of the action-filled trailer video. After the trailer was shown during the E3 event, Reeves himself came up on stage and announced the release date for the game. The game is out on April 16, 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Here’s a short video of Reeves talking about the game during the event:

And in case you’ve missed the trailer, here it is:
Keanu Reeves gained monumental popularity in the 2000s thanks to his lead role as Neo in the Matrix Trilogy. And in the 2010s, he has added to that popularity thanks to his titular role in the massively popular John Wick trilogy. But who exactly is Reeves’ character in Cyberpunk 2077?
Reeves reportedly did full body motion capture for his role in Cyberpunk 2077. We have understood that he will play a character called Johnny Silverhand. Johnny Silverhand is a has-been rockstar, who owes his name to a trademark silver arm. It has been confirmed that the character has a significant role in the storyline, which means we can expect to see a lot of Reeves.
A lot of details regarding Cyberpunk 2077 has already been known for some time. We’ve had several snippets of information from the developers in the past year. We’ve heard of weapons, storylines, gameplay and even soundtrack. With the game set for an April 2020 release, we can expect to hear a lot more in the coming months.
