Rumors say Sony is gearing towards upgrading the PlayStation 4 in order to keep its dominance until they launch the PlayStation 5. Sony is still the leader of the console market with the PS4 Pro and PS4 consoles.
Both Microsoft and Sony plan to launch the next-gen video game console by early-2021, although many analysts believe Sony will release the PS4 by 2020.
Do you know how their sales are going? I’ll give you a heads up. By July 2018, PS4 has sold over 90 million copies, whereas the Xbox One has reached about 40 million copies. (Source: Express.UK).
The battle-stage is set between the upcoming PS5 and the Xbox Two. Before the moment comes -and some of you realize your last console was a PlayStation 2 -, let’s talk about Sony’s massive upgrade.
New VR gears for the PS4
New reports suggest the PS5 will bring upgrades over the PS4. These improvements will come via the PlayStation VR feature.
Every PS4 console is VR ready. You would only need a special pair of headsets and a PlayStation camera to enter a new reality.
Sony PlayStation may also offer a serious upgrade in the form of a new PSVR 2 product. The PSVR2 could have 4K support, better and more stable frame rate (at least 60fps), and enhanced audio.
Additionally, the upcoming headset will have better controllers and a new gloves interface.
Online sources claim the PSVR2 will unveil during the 2019 E3, the annual tech and gaming convention.
Furthermore, rumors say the PSVR2 will not be an additional product. Instead, it will come in the box of Sony’s next-gen console.
Lastly, Sony is said to unveil a new PSVR headset compatible with both the PS4 and the PS5.
