New Xbox One tech coming this January

Rumor has it that Microsoft is working on new hardware for their Xbox brand. They have already lost to PlayStation in terms of sales, however, it appears the company is focused in the future.

The company is upgrading their Xbox One line of consoles with new Kinect features. There’re new 4K-capable webcams coming out for both the Xbox One and Windows 10. The webcam will replace the old Kinect with much better gaming characteristics. The camera will also allow players to log in their Xbox account by moving in front of it.

More so, the cameras are coming in two versions: one for the Xbox console and the other one for PC. The PC version is packing Windows Hello facial recognition software, which provides more accessibility and security.

Windows Hello is more advanced than Apple’s iPhone X facial features. It has a high-end depth-sensing coupled with a fingerprint sensor.

Additionally, Microsoft is launching new accessories for the Xbox platform on both console and PC. When the company released new controls, it was a success. As such, we would expect a new webcam will follow through.

Furthermore, there are hopes Microsoft will announce the Xbox Two mid-2019. Needless to say, there will be a big launch in 2020.

If this comes true, you can expect Sony will launch the PlayStation 5 by the same time.
